6 Degrees started as an offshoot of a weekly investment analysis blog founded by Keon Etminan. While the blog itself gained some traction, the accompanying interview series designed to engage readers quickly outshined its original purpose. Each interviewee not only shared their stories but also graciously connected us with others, revealing how small the world truly is. What began as conversations between high school students and local figures grew into dialogues with people who once seemed impossibly out of reach. The name 6 Degrees emerged as we realized how interconnected humanity is, thanks to the kindness and generosity of those we met. Now, this blog is an experiment in pushing the boundaries of the six degrees of separation, with the goal of featuring stories from all walks of life—billionaires, world leaders, and icons like the Dalai Lama or Elon Musk, to war refugees and prisoners—bringing their diverse perspectives together on a single platform.
